When you catch yourself speeding in the cage and you don't slow down because you KNOW the speedo is optimistic.

Im guilty of this. So I find myself taking the vespa more often. I just feel cheated when I dont.

I can't get enough of riding a Vespa. A daily commute of half hour each way just isn't enough. There is a gorgeous winding mountain road on the way home between Chai Wan and Shek O and sometimes I take the long way home. The picture in the avatar was taken along that road. When I am a few streets away from home, and the ride is almost over, I start to feel a sense of loss. On some days, it is the thought of a 50km ride to work that gives me motivation.

You look over at your wife and she has that twinkle in her eye and then it's a mad dash to see who can get all their gear on, grab the keys and rush to their scooter.

When you are in a cage and when the sun is in your eyes you tilt your head down.

I actually did this recently; I completely forgot that cars come with sun visors. So used to my full face.

My scoots in the shop and I had to ride my bicycle to run errands, I went to cross the street in the middle of the block, SHOCK, wheres my mirrors?

You have spent too much time on your Vespa when you wear your riding gloves even when you're not riding because they just 'feel right'.

Hell, I don't even buy clothes that aren't scooter-appropriate. I rarely even do hairstyles that won't work under my helmet. Just used to it!

This one isn't specifically Vespa related, but it is scooter related...
You know you've spent way too much time riding a scooter when someone finally tries to teach you how to drive a car, and you whack your head into the window trying to turn around to see what's behind you. You never sit in the driver's seat of another car for 7 years afterward.

Don't even bother asking if that's a true story.

after dumping your beloved scooter and rendering her unrideable due to a broken brake handle, you stare longingly at your damaged scooter and daydream all day long, every day about getting it back on the road. While waiting for parts, you spend a ridiculous amount of money on her, adding new accessories, finding the perfect colour to make her even more beautiful than she was out right of the box ... all by way of an apology for being such a moron and hurting her in the first place!
