I have their Intake jacket and I love it. The armor is comfortable and breathes very well. It has the waterproof liner and a quilted liner that can all be zipped in to make it toasty and dry. Anyway - winter is near and I find my legs getting cold and I really need to be wearing armored pants anyway. So my question is to anyone that has these pants how easy they are to get on and off. I commute daily to work and would like something I can just step into and out of without a whole lot of drama and contortions. I thought about chaps but the leather chaps with mesh jacket really clash even with my stunted sense of fashion.

you get leather chaps you have to get leather tassles hanging from your handle bars
next step is a skull and cross bones do-rag

I went with the Olympia Airglide 2 mesh; made of 500 denier Cordura they have full length side zippers for easy wearing, an insulated (quilted) liner and a light grey colour for warm weather riding.

I recently got these for the same reason. I was also concerned about the ease of getting them on over the work clothes but found them just as easy as described. Step in, zip up and scoot off. I usually wear Nike boots when I step into them so the full length zipper is a breeze.

I have Joe Rocket summer pants with full length zippers. They are fairly easy to get on and off over boots. There is a velcro closure over the zipper that likes to reclose itself but the boots will push it back open. Normally I am switching to motorcycle boots at the same time so I don't bother unzipping the side zippers but put on while my shoes are off.

I have a tourmaster transition series II jacket on order for cooler weather. Unfortunately it is on back order for a couple more weeks. I will probably need winter pants too so will be interested in your experience if you buy these pants.

+1 on the Fieldsheer Four Season
Actually I guess you could say +2 as my wife and I both wear them. Very easy to get into and out of. I wear them every day.

I have the Fieldsheer Four Seasons mesh pants and the Booster waterproof pants. both have full side zippers so they are easy to get on and off over regular pants. They also both have removable thermal liners.

Booster pants - Fieldsheer
Is the Waterproof/windproof, yet breathable membrane between the quitled liner and shell or against the skin? Is it removable?

It's built in to the shell, as a liner. It feels like nylon satin. I only wear it in colder weather, so I don't know how it would be against my skin. It's comfortable enough over regular pants.

The quilted liner is a whole separate pair of pants that zips into the shell when you need it.

Hi All,
just a thought that I had never considered. I recently read a post from a rider that went down with a pair of armoured pants that had the full length side zipper. It was a low speed get off and he wasn;t hurt except that where the zipper was caused a perrty good bruise because of his weight and the impact force with the ground hitting on the zipper. Also he had trouble getting them off because the zipper head apparently got somewhat squashed. Just a thought that I had never considered but it is something to think about.

Ride safe, Ride long.
