i'm trying to find a good helmet but i dont want to spend a million pounds on one, does anyone know why they differ so much in price? if i spend £75 will my head fall off if i hit the ground more than if i spent loads of money on one?

My rule of thumb is that $50 helmet is only good for a $50 brain.
I take the amount I spend on footwear, and try to at least double that - my head being worth more than twice as much as my feet.
