Modern Vespa

As promised here are the pictures of the completed installation of the accessory / battery charging socket on the new 09 GTV. Total cost $10.35 (Not counting the charger).

Also a few not so good pic's of the new toy.

Nice job, did you have to run wires from the Left Knee pad to the battery?

Yes sometimes I think I have more fun doing mod's and working on
bike's than using them for what they were intended for.

BTW: what should I consider for the next mod?
I am thinking a pipe change.
Guess I won't do that for $10.00

OK Guess the socket still is useable for a GPS, etc, because it wired directly into the battery?

Good clean workmanship.
IMHO, a better place for that inline fuse would be down at the battery. If that hot wire ever shorts to the ground wire, or to chassis, you've got a fire on your hands.

Yes it is.

The socket came prewired with the fuse in that location.
It would be very simple to add another at the battery end.
Will have to give that some thought.

I know this isn't related much to your mod, but you own best modern scooter, ever.

I have since installed a fuse link at the battery end of
this mod. (protected at both ends now)

Hopefully all goes as well when I install the LV pipe
and the Corsa next week.
