Anyone bought from them "recently"?
I paid for some bar-ends (Sep 24), and the payment was acknowledged, but nothing since. 2 e-mails sent but no response
Do I just write them off?

Everything is fine here! Our days jobs have been very busy lately, sorry for the delay if you guys have not recieved your items yet, but they are on there way.
Shipping to Australia takes a bit of time (not sure how long). You should be receiving your order very soon. |

Because it sounds like the mystery is solved - it might not be a bad idea for the OP to adjust the heading of the original post to say - 'problem solved', or something like that. The Jettin' folks seem to be quite 'on it' from what I have read...

I just got my Jettin tools today.
I ordered the GTS Variator holding tool, weighted bar end, and the clutch holding tool. All will come in handy since the labor rate at the local shop is $75 per hour. I will post images and results one I use them... |

jettin and customer service
I won't argue that jettin makes quality stuff, but the service is shoddy at best. I ordered bar-end weights and paid via paypal. it took 2 weeks for the weights to arrive and when the came they had the wrong bolts. I ordered the heavy weights for the GT200 and the bolts that came in the package were not long enough to go all of the way through the weights. So, I e-mailed them at the address on their website. It took another 10 day for a reply and the response was "sorry, I'll send some out right away".
That was in September. Now, I understand that mistakes can be made in packaging, but not responding to e-mails is not good business. But, promising to correct an error in packing an order and then doing nothing for 45 days is inexcusable. they seem to be the only option to order a clutch tool for the Vespa GT200L, but given my short history with the company, and the others who have problems getting a response from them, I think I will go to a local machine shop and have one fabricated there. Heck, maybe I'll have the local shop make 100 of them and sell them on this forum, and i'll answer my e-mails. John |

I've placed two orders with Jettin and in both cases the products arrived in the specified time frame and were as ordered.
Most recent order was 15oz bar ends. Good products and I can't complain about the customer service. Everybody has problems from time to time. my 2 cents worth |

I don't know what he meant by right away but it must mean next year 'cuz they haven't arrived after 39 days. I am glad some people are having good service from Jettin but it does seem to be hit and miss. John |

YYYY-MM-DD is the best way, everyone understands it, and it's a good format for folder names for storing photos on a hard drive as well.

I guess the real problem is that, from what I can tell, all of the posters have low post numbers, to which I will equate to as being new(er) scooter owners. Although scooters are still relatively new to me I've been working on cars for over 20 years. These issues that people are bitching about are common across the board and tend to increase as the rarity of the vehicle increases. Many here know about the waits lasting month upon months when ordering from Italy. People must also remember that there was a huge scooter boom this year. Make a cup of tea look up some porn, go garden or whatever you need to do to relax. Chill out it's not the end of the world.

12/19/2008 Just a thought but when NYLE started his business years ago it was for us. Sure he made some money but he was happy to replicate and make anything we wanted (that he could do). Don't think he could buy a home in the hamptons with what he makes on something! Our numbers were small back then and now we've exploded. I also doubt he makes enough to hire somebody to answer emails etc. Seems like there's a delay when he gets hit with a bunch of orders. Hence the "hit or miss theory". I would check with him first if you need it right away otherwise be patient because he's got some good stuff
