Can anyone advise me on any advantages to the SureFelx clutch plates vs the original cork plates? Performance or longevity issues? They cost about the same and I need to rebuild the clutch in my P200E.

Thanks,

I've always used them on my bikes and never had problems. Dunno how they are compared to stock though... Don't forget to get new clutch springs when you rebuild your clutch

On a stock P....I doubt you will notice any difference.
But the Surflex are a bit better quality...

for the price just buy them.

I recall having issues with a batch of the NOS Mercur (spelling?) plates being too thick & I had to tear my clutch apart twice to get the right thickness.....

Never a problem for me with the Surflex Cosa plates

The surflex are the best we've come across and are generally regarded well.

Well Newfren is a Great Italian company that has all there wonderful parts made in china for them. and I think they have some high end stuff that is made in Italy but the price is so far out of the average persons hands its not worth talking about.

But Really the Kids at Newfren are great and very much Kids maybe some of them in there 40's but everyone else is 25-30 year old range

as for Adiage well they get a bad wrap too just like the Surflex but much smaller company that at one time made items for MecEur they might of had some stuff made in the middle east or germany,

but then again I got a 4 plate set of Adiage for a lammy and when opening the box found the cert. of manufacture and it was india ,

anyways it seems no matter where its made its made to work and really can you ask for anything more ?
