Right next door to where I work. Parts built in China, then sent here for assembly.

While I was snappin' a customer came in with a dead battery and the owner told him they don't sell just the batteries. I told the customer to buy another scooter just like the one he already has and use it for parts.

Good times.

But they're so cute!

And one of them has Race Technology.

A shop opened up near me, down by the beach, last summer in a store front. Sold a whole stable full 'o those cheep scoots. Summer came and went and so did the dealer. No where to be found. Now people are going into the bike store a couple of doors down with questions about parts and all. Gives the bike store owner a pretty good laugh every time. Heck, makes me LMAO just thinking about it...

New slogan for the "China scooters Shop". "When one is too many and two is never enough"... I think that's from "Lost weekend", you know, with Ray Millan(?)

I wonder how many of these little suckers are sitting (broken) in unhappy, buyers garages?

I've said it before & I'll say it again - you get what you pay for!

There are a bunch around my area that look just like the first ones with those weird plastic light grills... "mine" have the decals "VIP FUTURE CHAMPION" on them. I can't think of many worded decals which would come off more corny. Yet people buy them!

There were a bunch of those same models popping up around the Twin Cities this summer. I welcome the additional scooterists but I wonder how many of them I'll see next year. Especially with gas at $3.13 right now for regular.

No chinese scooters by me but the honda dealer down the street must be selling those metropolitans like hotcakes. I saw approx 10+ this past week riding around. Nice lil bike but plastic and 49cc.

In Madison Wi. There is a dealer selling these bikes and they advertise them as " Name Brand " I love that name. I think I would like to buy a new scoot maybe a Vespa, Piaggio, Aprilia, Yamaha. Honda or Maybe a "Name Brand" . Marketing certainly is powerful with the general public....How scary is that.

VIP FUTURE CHAMPION is greatness. Someone at the plant knew 3 positive American words and the legend was born. Sounds like it should be a firecracker.

I'll be waiting to see if they pack it up and ship out.

As a sidenote, there's a bunch of places like this in B'more. They probably make their money selling cheapo Chinese dirt bikes and ATVs to the drug runners though
