I recently bought a sidestand for my GTS off ebay. The stand did not include the springs or the o rings that normally come with the side stand kit. Does anyone know where I could find a set of the springs and o-rings for my side stand? Thanks!

When I bought mine from scooterworks it all came together with a vespa P/N
maybe you can order the missing pieces from a dealer or perhaps find suitable substitutes at a local cycle shop

Each part can be (or rather MUST be) ordered separately by a Vespa dealer. I remember the first time I tried to order one, and I had to order a whole mess of parts. The thing that sucks is that they're almost all in different quantities, like an 8-pack of hot dogs while the buns come 10 to a bag..

I just bought one for Salima's GTS and it looked like it came in a sealed plastic outer bag from Piaggio, all parts included.

This is such an easy mod to install, even without a spring puller (well, you make one yourself out of a loop of string).

I just got one of these too. Seems like a good price until you get it and discover that it's missing the springs and o-ring. So now I have a new project - locating the missing pieces and figuring out how to install all of them without any instructions.

So did you find the missing parts, and if so, where did you get them?

Thanks.

We do too, if we're any nearer for the East Coasters.

GT/GTS sidestand installation instructions
For those who need to know how to mount the sidestand and springs, the instructions are on the Motorsport Scooters website here:

As much as we love Motorsports, dont forget Andrea on the east coast, they are sponsors and I hear she has a sexy English accent.

Wrong! It takes five minutes just to find your 17mm open end wrench and needle nose pliers (to attach the springs). Okay, maybe five more minutes to actually install the stand and try it out. But, it takes at least a half hour to an hour to make a run to the auto parts store to purchase a can of water-proof lubricant grease. Laughing emoticon

And add to that the time it takes to uncork a nice bottle of Sangiovese to get into the right mood.
