Has anyone heard of any price increases for the 2009 lineup? I see that Suzuki, Honda, and Yamaha raised the prices of some- maybe all- of their scooters.

Hell the Dealers around Alabama area with exception of mine boost their prices without Piaggio doing it. Some around Alabama are currently charging $6599.99 for the 250 Super.

I bought a 2009 GTS in June and it was the same MSRP as the 2008.

I paid $5999 in NJ, and the dealer seemed to have plenty of them lying around. (Slight exaggeration, but he did have 4.)

GTS 2009 models are $7500 in Toronto.

Supers are $7999.

In looking at different dealer websites, it looks like the Piaggio line is staying the same- for now. They have "2009" features/pictures listed and the same prices. - Good news!!- -for now....

I checked www.iBike.com.hk for the Vespa prices and there is no increase for the 2009 models.

btw - this is an interesting site for motorscooter news. They do their own product reviews and have links for scooter other stuff.

There are price increases coming in Canada. The Scarabeo 200 is increasing by four to five hundred dollars up here.

No changes announced as of yet, but model year doesn't seem to mean much to Piaggio. MSRP, paint color, parts sourcing, etc. can each change at any time during the year!

Purchased my 2009 model GTS in early August. It was listed at the MSRP 2008 price. Manufacture date was in May.

The local Vespa shop here (Vespa Brooklyn) said they are getting the 300s and they quoted me the $6199 price for it...

.... so it seems that as of now at least prices are not going to be raised...

(but anything can happen I suppose)
