Alright so I was riding to work on Friday and I was making a right turn. As I was in the middle of the turn I felt a weird sensation. At the end of this odd sensation and feeling I realized that the bike has lost traction on a patch of loose dirt in the middle of the turn. As I look back I can see a small patch of dirt that I didn't see before the turn. I was thinking to myself, if I was on 2 wheels would I have been able to handle it or did the 3rd wheel save me today. I honestly feel like the 3rd wheel did save me from dropping the bike. What does everyone think?

Hard to say. The extra wheel seems to make simple, linear motions more stable, but once harmonic oscillations set in on the front wheel it doesn't matter that you have two up front, and could possibly make it worse as you have all the weight up front being flung around. I found that out the hard way.

Beasty Ate Up the Trash
Amen Brother,..Today as I returned home from the car trim shop, a large plastic can of trash debris fell off the back end a truck in front of me. I was just coming to the street where I needed to turn right to go home. I missed most of the debris by manuvering and just plain luck, but one plastic liter bottle with the cap on danced over in front me. Just as I was turning, my right front tire hit it square on at the apex of the turn. It felt like I was jumping over a log. The left front tire rolled on, doing it's usual business. Except for the cardio acceleration my heart felt from taking the bump and turn at the same time, the incident was otherwise uneventful....The machine ate it up and I rolled on....Thank You Piaggio....

+1 jacq and jimc..Every day riding I manage to ride it out of a sticky situation using those 2 front wheels and the brakes once..I notice that the oncoming cars that see me swerve all the hazards are simply amazed. I had 2 brake hard twice..But learning how 2 turn those front wheels makes it fun.. :wink:Thank God for the 3 wheels..It sure beats this when we are old and gray..
