Which do you prefer?
Just saying.
I'm bored and contemplating fate. I'll bet the EU folks have more experience here...

BUT: if I had a GT that could pull GTS's up a hill, in a straight line... I probably wouldnt mess with it. Well, maybe I would. I am just about to get into this (not kidding)... http://www.blouchturbo.com/turbos/IHI_RHB3/ Enjoy knowing once and for all that I am fully a dufus that will actually follow through on some foolish pursuits with a GTS. Now that I have a spare motor, who knows what ridiculous stuff I can get into... Lemmy know what you do. Patrick was supposed to get me in on the super secret think tank email list, so i could share my triumphs and failures with you all. |

I've limited options given my explorations on Saturday. Sigh. That head is toast.
Since the engine will be out, might as well kit the GT. |

Check this. The flowchart is sick for this little thing...
Need to customize the PM pipe to accommodate this, which will take a second to get it right. This is the actual unit. It should be here soon: (yes, I am a freak). |

OZ, maybe Rich would like to part with the evil Chucky's GTS engine. take it off his hands before he kills himself with it.
Joel, you are truly nuts. i think the turbo would work in your advantage more in the city than on the cannonball Rob |

Just like everyone else on the intertubes, I have no experience and a place to see my opinion on a monitor. Plus I look just like Daniel Craig and am dating Gwyneth Paltrow.
Wasn't there a study recently that modified bikes needed more maintenance? Perhaps it was a real world test? It seems to me a bunch of scooterists scootered across a couple of states, and those with stock scooters had fewer issues than those that had modifications. Something about high performance scooters earning dog miles at a rate of 7:1 or some crazy number, can't remember who said that though either. I would think that in 17.5 years when you're sending someone off to college, you can blow cash on a high performance rebuild-it every weekend engine. Why overload the crank, or the tranny? Because the next weak link will be sure to come to light as soon as you drop a 210 kit on your bitch. Or your scooter. Have you priced the Piaggio kit? I know you're in some kind of recession-proof mid level |

Do the Polini OZ.....Rolfie went thru 5 Malossi 210 kits on Josh's GT before he got one that was machined okay or did not have cracks. Nuff said.
As for the turbo....someone is going to make it work......might as well be me...... or Joel..... We shall see. R 8) |

Thats' how her daddy and mommy did it, what's good enough for them is good enough for her! I'm weighing options, nothing more. I'm perfectly ready to just fix this back to stock. *mopes in corner* ⚠️ Last edited by TheO.Z. on UTC; edited 1 time

Rich is just trying to help you as a pal... he doesnt want to see you go down the same dark path that I have chosen.
Yes, that is a turbo. Yes, I will make it work and probably wind up with an unreliable, frightening east coast "chucky" of my very own... BUT: It will go straight due to the super swank-tastic suspension modifications that i cant wait to blab about in due time.... (if they wind up being as awesome as I THINK they will be, anyway.. lol) |

I am going to ride a stock GTS with a 10 gallon gas tank in 2010. The turbo is just for my commute. I want to see just how fast I can go between stoplights, which are about 9 feet away from each other all over my fair city. |
