I know, I'm in the minority w/ tire wear. I've got 3400 miles on the rear OEM tire and I don't have a photo to prove it.

However, is this why others are going through tires so quickly???

I cannot answer that question but have another to add. When the dealer was trying to give me advise on what tire he also mentioned the amount of braking we do in the rear stating for the most part we only need the front brakes. I certainly do not ride like guy in the youtube video. But is it true about the braking in the rear in regards to tire wear?

braking on m/c or scooters is about 70% on the front and 30% rear. As long as your braking normally and not skidding the tires yoou should not see any increase in wear.

Hey bro if you are running pilot sports and you have 3400 miles I hope you have another tire on order now. I got 3500 on mine and it didn't have much more. And no I don't drift. Be safe.

Anybody care to comment what the hell animal ran across the road just prior to the stunt show? Didn't look like no domestic cat or dog to me.
