The variator on my 200GT Granturismo is "kaput". Crying or Very sad emoticon Need to replace it. I'm going to buy one within the next 4 hours. I put 30 miles on my bike on a a daily basis. Any suggestions? Thank, you for those who reply.

stock.
keep it stock, change out the rollers and be done.

if you must upgrade, the polini is a decent piece.

best,

I have the Polini and love it but you will need to change he rollers more often. The stock is a good all around option too.

Quick breakdown from experience, and shared experiences with other riders:

Stock works really well. After 25-30 mph it feels exactly the same as the other variator choices I have tried, for the most part.

J. Costa works well especially off the line. It is easy to ignore and just have fun riding. Probably the best choice after stock for day to day city riding. The fun level/hassle level ratio is quite good on this one. Smooth all the way from a stop to top speed.

Polini is the most fun, but requires the most babysitting. the fun/hassle ratio is not so good here. The polini requires wrenching, and you will eat through rollers, and possibly through the case... really: fun, but requires attention.
Will make you feel faster off the line and will keep pulling all the way up to the top, then you will notice a little oil drip just under the variator in a few days/weeks/months depending on how you drive. The polini is a can of worms. A race tuned part means it really is meant to go like crazy for a short amount of time. keep that in mind.
