I took my beasty baby to the car trim guy. Roy cut 1.7" off the seat's height. It is at an even 29" high. I also had him add some foam to the seat for more support to my lower back... Though I still have to wear the harley boots which have 2.5" soles, the lowered seat made a huge difference in my confidence to hold the scoot on inclines and declines...Know that the grades I deal with are significant. I can now flat foot on side and half foot on the other side. So I am very happy...The cost was $180 and took 2.5 hours. I waited for it so I could take pics and also to measure where I wanted the buildup to be.
One disappointing feature: Roy Armoraled the seat..So I literally slid to a stop. Thank God, the seat was lower or "Oh Brother."
I don't know what to use to get the slick off...hmmm....Dishwater liquid and warm water, I guess.
I warned him on watching for electronics in the seat and not to take it for granted. So he shaved little at a time. As it turns out there was nothing there to worry about. He took the foam towards the front down the metal and dipped where I sit alittle. Added to the hump for back support...The camera picked up some irregularness that the eye can not see...Believe me I looked.
Love it and I feel so much safer......cheers....jacq
