yeah lots of fun jumping into the river. and also loved rottnest island. some good snorkeling spots shit load of sting rays though....watching the russians we were with swimming under boats chasing them was pretty funny. ahhh perth and rotto great times. beats working night shift in this factory

I'm in Mt Hawthorn, and I ride into the CBD most days. I'm a commuter mostly, haven't much time for weekend riding.

Do you wave (or at least nod)? I don't get many back. Nothing like waving to a fellow scooterist and getting no return or a quizzical stare to make you feel like a moron.

I'm in olde Canberry. Perth & Freo must be awesome scootering territory. Winter gets too cold here!

I'm in the inner west of Sydney and there are swarms of Scooters around the streets these days, especially since its getting really warm now. No better way to get around the inner suburbs than by Vespa.
I'm looking forward to the bill being passed to allow free metered parking within in the CBD. Shame we're still so far behind Melbourne when it comes to 2-Wheeled convenience though.

I'm in Perth, live in Belmont, scoot to the international airport every day.

Scotty my GTS is a ringer for yours, with the addition of a floor mat, top case & rear crash bars.

Weather here is excellent for riding.

Seems like we've got a decent crew of perthites and ex-perthites. "redio" I usually wave but most scooter riders give me a funny look, atlead the 90% of the bike riders give the nod. Tho im on an MP3 so most riders are still wondering what the heck just passed them .. ... . . .

I only get to ride on my days off work . . .. im stuck in a antisocial 2.5 ton monstertruck of a 4wd all day. . . .. it just isnt the same

I live in North Freo - lots of Vespas out and about in Freo lately. I saw three couples two-up on 250s just today. It's going to be a great summer.

I love that there's a patisserie in Fremantle named 'La Vespa' - I think anyone who rolls up there on a Vespa should get some kind of discount. Who's with me?

Agreed. As much as I love the idea of strolling in there and announcing "Hey I rode here on a Vespa, what sort of discount does that get me? On savouries at least??", I don't know if/when I'll ever get to Freo on the ET2, so my vote's for you Quixote. You go try it on for us.

In Fremantle, WA they rent them. Not sure how much and only 50cc though.

Is it a dealers/new bikes type show or an enthusiasts get-together?
I haven't been to either for too long.

Its called the "Northam Motorcycle Festival", Held on November 29 & 30.

Its a big show and a chance to check out the latest gear, new bikes/ scooters and watch a few of the displays. Entertainment is provided with a concert thrown in.
