I was thinking of putting the Grateful Dead 'Steal Your Face' logo the horn cover of my GTS. My plan was to put the lightning bolt section right on the horn cover and then add the rest of the design around it. The only problem I see is mounting the scotchlite over the running light. Does anyone know if this will create problems (ie the light heating up)?

I'm not sure why you'd want to do such a thing, but since you asked...

The lightning bolt would cover the entire horn/light area? What are you going to make this out of? You'd just cover up the light? If so, just disconnect it.
If you want to have the light shine through, you'll have to print the design on a film made for this and make sure the adhesive can stand the heat.

Or you could cut out the bottom half of the lightning bolt and let the light shine through.

Were you totally baked when you thought this up?

Riding and taking LSD is not advised. Razz emoticon Even with Vitamin C.

I say do it my brotha, mount that bad boy, who cares what anyone thinks. Personalize it. Erics correct about the sticker type.

Definitely do it or you'll be goin' down the road feelin' bad.

If anyone asks why, just tell them the Vespa came by and you got on, that's where it all began.

Don't tell me this forum ain't got no heart. You just gotta poke around.

Not a dead head, but I always like the vibe their fans put out, and I always liked their stickers. The hippy chicks I like, I just wished they shaved their legs.

But rock on my brotha, personalize that scoot.

Back in the 80s, the Dead were playing in Long Beach down the street from a Mod/soul club, my friends and I were walking around the dead heads in suits, while my buddy was asking everyone for doses. I guess they thought we were cops, no L for us that night.
