They are a total mom and pop business that support local, up and coming and reasonable arts.

Anywho, as a community based business they are TOTALLY OPEN TO A SCOOTER ART SHOW that will highlight and sell art that is scooter inspired.

HOW COOL IS THAT!? if you are an artist, please contact them direct.

As soon as we can get a good amount of artists we can have a show and an AWESOME meet, greet, eat and RIDE! Yeah!

Thanks for the kudos. What a fantastic idea about the SCOOTER SHOW! I got a beach cruiser two days ago and I feel like a kid again. I have never been on a scooter, but I see so many more around town nowadays. It's a lifestyle - scootering, isn't it? A way of thinking, reacting...

Will you try and get a group from the scooter camp to come out this Saturday? We have a bike tour that comes through almost every Second Saturday; they hit a number of the galleries on the NELAart.org Gallery Night. I would love to see scooters lined up in front of Cactus.

Let me start working on the scooter show; I would love input from you and others!

a lot of views. but, no reply? any artists out there? any one willing to attend a scooter opening night? need feedback peeps!

I'd love to go on a ride through Eagle Rock and the surrounding area. Even better if it includes visiting galleries. And better still if there are scooter-related pieces. But this Saturday is out. Sorry.

If you have some art you'd like to showcase and sell, contact them. The cactus gallery is really, really cool. And artist/collector friendly! I am sure you can work something out!!

He, Molly, I totally missed this post. I do have art skills and would love to participate in a ride and even a show.

Maybe we can do this another time? Their next opening?

hey, you should get in contact with the owners there and let them know about your art skills. the scooter show is a work in progress and has not been announced yet, but will be once we can get some cool artists together. til them we can do the monthly art ride around East LA galleries to show support for our scoot show and also our local artists. (that monthly ride was what you read above)



i think it would be WAYYYYY cool to get to hang out with some of our talented scooterists and dedicate a ride and a night to their talents. make sure you contact the gallery and let them know you are an artist and that you would like to show you work in the scooter show when we can get that goin'!!!!!!!!

I was going to say the same exact thing. I live in eagle rock! (well, highland park) but I want to meet local riders so I hope we can try it another time.

i live off eagle rock blvd'ish and maybe we have crossed paths... shoot me over an e-mail if you want from my site gomolly.com and maybe we can scoot around? i have a growing list of scooterists in our area that we meet for rides and stuff. last was to philippes for french dips. good times. if you see me on my black S make sure you wave a hello!!!

We also have a new LA-area Meetup.com group and are working on monthly rides. Meanwhile, there are 2 rides this weekend: a haunted house ride (see Meetup page) and a ride to Mt. Wilson.
