I'm curious, with the cold days coming, are there any members of this forum that are "Snow Birds" and head down to Florida with their scooters?

There's a local club here which consists of mostly northern residents that come here during the months of Nov. thru April, then head back north.

nope, but my in-laws live in homosassa springs and they dread each year the coming of the snow birds...traffic, horrid drivers, accidents...

i guess the shops and stores and restaurants like the snowbirds, but the locals surely don't

I'm Targeting the SouthWest Florida area, Ft. Myers to be exact. Pensecola is in the Pan Handle and actually a different time zone I believe.

I live in Homosassa and your in-laws are right about the snowbirds binding up our roads and causing accidents. I tell them to go home all the time or......get outta my way! Scream emoticon Our stores love them and await their arrival each year. Where-abouts in Homosassa Spr are they?

Yeah all of us Floridians like to bitch about the snowbirds and tourists but fact is....we need them...and their money!

You've got that right "Sticky". Snow Birds are what keeps Florida afloat, and I sort of prefer it that way. My biggest traffic woe is the school busses, but they too are a necessity. Key word here: "Tolerence"
