Talked to ScooterWest today and they did not know which rear rack would fit a 2009 GTS ie "Super". Can anyone help?

you might want to hunt for some posts by "Ratstar". She was hunting for the same thing a month or more ago and might have found the answer by now.

You might be able to put GTS rails and rack on, but only if you do both.

The body is pretty similar to the standard GTS so I think it's possible to mount the passenger grab rails, which is what helps to secure the rack.

Don't quote me on it though, but I think it's possible.

And +1 for getting in touch with Ratstar.

the gts rack will work on a super. if you order it from a vespa shop as a spare part it's super cheap too.

Super Rack
Thanks for all of the suggestions. I will get right on ordering one.

For those of you that PMed regarding "enhancement" always remember that plastics are the future.

Super is no real difference exept for no rear rack. you'l have to order a gts rear rack and remove the rab bar put on the super.

I had a GTS rack put on my super. They had to change the grab rail to the one that came with the rack because for some reason, it wouldn't fit the one that came on the super. It was actually pretty expensive though, but given it was made by Piaggio, I wasn't surprised. I ordered a black GTS top case too. Apparently, the Super top case is not available yet in the US. I have seen pictures of the super top case, and the only difference looks to be that the piping on the backrest matches the piping on the Super seat.

Superduper expensive rack
When I was teaching college I had a student that put her new improved rack on her dad's credit card. Some 6700$$. She thought it would get her better grades.

When I asked how much a GTS rack cost I was told 380$. Given how cheesy the racks are, that seems like an awful lot. For motorcycles you can get all kinds of CRC billet aluminum stuff for must less. Stronger, cheaper, cooler looking. Does any body have ideas?

I'm in the same boat. I'm looking for a rear rack for my Super too. I emailed Scooterworks about the Cuppini rear rack and they said it would fit but I'm still nervous about it. Anyhoo, here's the rack I'm talking about:

For $129 wouldn't it be worth it to order one and try it? You might possibly come up with some kind of adjusting arrangment if it didn't fit as easy as Scooterworks claims.. And if it doesn't work, I'm sure they would take it back and all you'd be out would be the shipping. If I really wanted a rack on that scoot badly enough, I'd surely try that.. 8)
