so is that a new feature I spy or have I been blind to it for a while? If it's new I like it. If not I'm oblivious.

Indeed, it's a new feature. Pressing the little circle-slash symbol in the lower left-hand corner of somebody's post will hide that person's avatar AND signature line permanently, or until you hit the button again to un-hide it.

Oooh, there's one avatar I'm going to quash immediately! It gives me a headache ever time I see it! Not naming names or anything....

That is neat, Jess. I just clicked your button and you went into stealth mode. However, you just aren't you without the avatar, so I clicked you back. Kind of like Dorothy's red shoes in wizard of Oz.

Any progress on the other new features?

hmmm. Nice feature, at first glance, and I can also think of a few avatars I'd never like to see again. But then, I'll miss the prominent warning sign not to read that post, so I'll pass on using it. Bummer.

Edited to add: it would be nice if it could selectively eliminate only the signature. Some of them are quite annoying <cough>

It's per user, just the one you click on. Not everybody.

I did one as a random test, and now I can't get it back.

Click the little head button NEXT TO (left) the profile button.

Find that person, and hit the button in the same position (which now shows the circle-slash). The avatar and signature should now re-appear.

EDIT: Just to make things extra confusing, I've just switched the state of the buttons so that the circle-slash button shows up on a user whose icon and signature are currently hidden. Everyone else will get the non-circle-slash button.

Heh. I think it's an RV-thing, the states you've driven your RV to.

In my case, I'm using it to indicate the states I've ridden my scooter to. I've visited far more states than the map would suggest, just not on my scooter.

I knew that was what you were doing because of the Cannonball etc... I thought the map was cool. My wife has been to 46 states in the US but until about 5 years ago I had only been to Oregon, Nevada, Hawaii, and I was raised in California.

Now I have added Texas (where I now live), Arizona, New Mexico, and Florida. Only Texas on a scoot as I have only been riding for a month. I love the forum thanks so much for putting it up.
