Hi Mate, I believe the axle is 20mm (I will double check this weekend)

As far as the tool box lock, try Tri-Flow or any silicone based lubricant.

I will be removing the forks on my P2 this weekend mate so i will let you know.

Cheers

Ah! cheers jim, I was thinking it was 20mm cos i remember reading somewhere that pre 83 models were 16mm and post 20mm (please someone let me know if i'm wrong)

cant wait for the weekend though got to order the bearings tomorrow so i can swap em out on the weekend and re do my MOT, i'm not convinced that they need replacing cos i checked the wobble with a mates bike last night and his is the same. I'll check it with a few guys in our club meet tonight and see what gives. I may end up either sticking a washer in there and tightening the fuck out of it.

cheers for the silocone tip as well ive got a can of gt85 knocking about under the sink so i'll squirt the living shit out of it and take it from there.
