On the right side of my Typhoon is a plastic black circular contraption that juts out in an oval design. Looks like a half a sphere with concentric vents in it.

Lately, I've noticed it's dripping a decent amount of oil in the garage. It's never done it before. And I mean it's just short of dripping oil.

Any suggestions?

find where it's originating, and takes steps to remedy it.

most likely a leak from the 2-stroke oil tank which is above that dripping down the fan housing . easy fix loose pipe ?, split pipe or splittank ? an easy cheapish fix

if its coming out of the fan housing then crank seal gone Crying or Very sad emoticon engine out and rebuild not so cheap

lets hope it's the first one

It does sound like your talking about the fan cover so it could be the crankseal weaping... but its nothing drastic as its an external seal so 20mins max to remove, and refit... nothing major.

But the 2 stroke sits above it, so make sure its not the tank or pipe work leaking, then dripping onto the cover somewhere, and running round the cover and then dripping on the floor.

+1 on the oil tank leaking. I had that problem with my ET2. The O-rings on the tap lost their oomph for some reason and leak. You should be able to see if it if the oil tank is leaking around the tap. IF it is that, it's an easy cheap fix if you don't mind getting dirty. A $3 tube of instant gasket worked wonders.
