I am a large rider 250lbs what shock setting should my bike be set at?

Same weight as you, I set mine on #3 and have never bottomed out.

I have a BV500 and have mine set on 2 so maybe I should try 3. I haven't felt like I am bottoming out either yet. I am 6'4" 280.

290 here and I have mine set on 4. I tend to sit more towards the back and while I never bottomed out on three it seems to handle in the turns much better on 4.
