Or am I just a giant sissy because I've been trying to scrape it and haven't yet. Not leaning hard enough maybe.

I know, silly thing to do but everyone needs a hobby.

I did notice that the 500 kickstand seems more 'tucked' under than its sister models and earlier versions. I've noticed this on a couple of rides and just thought it was being paranoid, BUT I DEFINITELY noticed while out with Fuzzy that his center stand stuck out and lower than the 500.

Along this same line, I have been dragging the center stand a lot on my 500 and earlier this week I decided to jack up the pre-load on the shock. I had been wanting to do this for some time. I took both of them to the highest setting. End result, the bike handles a LOT better and i have yet to drag the stand so far, but I am sure that will change. I love this machine!
