Modern Vespa

I'm going to dub this "The 'dam' Ride!" We will be riding to Lake Hodges while passing by the Lake Hodges Dam on scenic Del Dios Hwy. Bring your own 'dam' food (make a sandwich, bring chips, drinks, whatever). We will get to the lake via Pacific Coast Hwy.

Debra, I am so sorry I wasn't able to join in, especially since it was your first group ride. Was it the ride you were hoping for?

The riding weather couldn't have been more perfect. It was a great day to ride - cool breeze on the coast by Delmar, and perfect conditions inland as we headed East towards the lake. The twisties were fun! We had an Amazing Grace key incident (was once lost but now found) and a snapped tab that holds the muffler to the body frame incident which resulted in a very loud obnoxious 'moped-like ' noise. Quick stop to an AutoZone made for an excellent temporary fix. All got home safe. Matt and I stopped by El Cajon Oktoberfest for dinner and beer and said hello to Gitta.

Oh...we found out two things today...Kathleen is always attracted to anything shiny; and I have a small head.

DAM shame I was still at the Oktoberfest and missed this ride. But, it was DAM good to see Rex and Matt Sunday afternoon for more beer and good German food!

Damn, It looks like fun. Nice scenery.
On a side note: the Armadillos will be doing the 'second sunday' thing too. We've fallen into line.

Maybe we can coordinate a Skype link and razz each other via the interwebs?
