Ok here is the method of detecting sarcasm if your stock sarcasm detector module is broken, faulty, or was never installed. Just take any thing that you perceive as being mean and turn it into a perception of humor. Therefore if you think someone was being
really mean they will now have been really funny. Keep in mind that the opposite is not true.

OMG! I totally expect this from people and rarely ever get it. I assume it's because everyone is way too serious...and I'm an a-hole.

Treat every post as sarcasm. If it doesn't make sense sarcastically, then it's serious. This eliminates the necessity for emoticons to explain a person's mood or intent.

Your PMs can be read on most forums - but normally the admins of the sites are busy enough dealing with the public interface and would have to be really bored to bother. One forum I visit has had issues with PM spamming, so when they can see that is going on they might do some basic detective work and tell the buggers to stop.

I get PMs from my MV buddys and newbies asking questions, I have nothing to hide.

Im so glad I dont get PM spam, that would piss me off.

I dont post on BBS because I think they let too much go. But to each their own. I love the civility of MV.

The wife recently bought a can of Spam, when I asked her why, she said she never tried it. Yuk, Thanks Tony Bordain for showing her Spam.
