So adorable! You just need to get him a pair of "doggles" to protect his lovely little eyes and you're good to go!

Please consider, in addition to Doggles for your cutie, a riding jacket for you with armor at the shoulders and elbows if you don't already have one. If anything unfortunate happens your first instinct will to be shelter him with your arms and having armored sleeves will be a benefit to both of you. (I realize you were just posing for pictures and may have a jacket already.)

wow, I'm not a big fan of chihuahuas but I gotta say I'm jealous that you figured out how to combine a trip to the dog park with a scooter ride.
I'd look a bit ridiculous with my 40 lb mutt strapped on my skinny ass. |

Nice set up - how big is your pup? mine is 13lbs and may like that carrier - looks like it's one size so if it's too big it wont work. I hate shopping so if I have to go into a Target for measurements I will.

I've had two min-pin's. The female (Atara) was a great dog. After she had to be put down, I got a male (Aramis) and he was a flake, major health issues forced me to put him down. We now have our first ever Boston Terrier (Starz) and she is a sweetheart.

For bigger dogs here is another option. Picture taken Cherhola Skyway last month. Owner says the dog loves it and has never fallen off. The sad part is she has cancer.
I had a friend in Japan who used to carry her Shitsu on her back in a babby carrier while riding behind her husband on his motorcycle. |

Does Squee like riding?
My chihuahua, Cheena, absolutely loves to ride. I'm slightly bummed that my new scoot will be arriving right when the weather gets colder, so I won't be able to take her out on it. She has Doggles and a similar front-pack carrier I take her in. Maybe we could have a scooter riding chihuahua club or something. 8) |

Who's a pooper on a scooter? YES YOU ARE!
So cute. I think that if I ever got a chihuahua or a boston bull terrier, I'd probably name him/her Popeye. |

Gotta make a comment... and I am not trying to be snarky.... but I work in the Veterinary industry and about every two or three months we have a dog come in that was thrown from the bed of a pick-up truck. It' s such a common occurrence that support staff have slang for the problem... they call 'em "meat missles" (not in a joking fashion). Treatment and prognosis are rarely good. I am not passing judgmenet on the OP at all... but stuff like this:
...that's just dangerous. You have a choice, the pet doesn't. *stepping off soap box* |

I agree with you--I just hate to see an unrestrained dog in the back of some idiot's pickup--as you say, people have a choice, pets don't. And I've seen dogs that get dumped, too. One sticks in my mind: Idiot stopped after dog flew out around a corner, angrily chastised dog (which was clearly hurting) and insisted that dog get back into truck unassisted. Poor fella just did it, because dogs will love even idiots.
BTW, my dog always rides inside, whether it's in the back of my mini-ute or if in my pickup, in the cab with me. Cary |

That just brings tears to my eyes. When my dog is in the car he rides in his travel crate. I see dogs riding on the back decks in sedans...folks don't realize that if you stop suddenly the dog will be launched towards the front window. Also, I've heard too many stories of loose pet fleeing after an accident and getting hit. With the dog in his crate and the crate belted down he's as safe as I can make him.
