Hi MP3 members.

Just wanted to post some information and pics of mods that have been installed on my MP3 250 First off, I'd like to thank fellow MV member frankenplanes for inspiration & install of a majority of the mods as well as SimonHughes for providing pics, instructions and weblinks for scooter upgrades (not pictured is the Stebel Horn which was added so that others can hear me when needed & a comagination system so that the brake lights flash when the hand brakes are depressed 8)).

Hey! Really nice pics and post! Can I ask a few questions?

-How do you have the earbuds/phones fixed inside the helmet?
-Is the remote on the XM/radio on the dash removable?
-Any pics of the cover on?What model is it?
-Finally, any more mods planned?

Hi luthorhuss, thanks for the compliments and I'll answer the questions.

1. The Chatterbox XBi actually has speakers installed in the headset, so nothing is in my ears. As first, I thought that the wind would be a problem (as I still have the stock windshield) but suprisingly the sound is great and I can still hear horns and traffic etc. There is also a microphone so that I can talk to my passenger or talk on the phone if need be.

2. The Pioneer remote is bolted on, so techincally you could remove it but that would require one to get under the hood and loosen the attachments.

3. Don't have a pic of the cover on the scooter, but I will do that (probably tomorrow and add to this posting). I have a 250 and the cover fits snuggly over it with extra room/padding for a hot exhaust. The size fits a trike.

4. I have a couple more mods that I want to do...I'm thinking about replacing the stock mirrors with Ducati mirrors that have LED lights imbedded (OhanaSam has them installed on his 500). Will use them as driving lights/turn signals for better visibility. And may eventually paint the scoot a burnt orange...I was at the motorcycle shop and they had a Suzuki with this paint...AWESOME!!!

Cool! Can't wait. Yeah, the burnt orange is awesome. If you do a search, there's a pic of a 250/400 with that color on it on the forums. I forget who did it. It's very nice though.

That is a great color! But I might have to keep her black since I started this quest looking at a used 250 at less than $6k and now I am looking at a new 500 at $10k out the door.

Hi sh1bby69...thanks for the compliment and there aren't any ear plugs with the chatterbox. I have minature speakers installed in the helmet which provide great sound...I'll post some pictures a little later...and I can still hear what's going on around me. Granted, I have the volume at mid-level but still able to hear.
