hey Ive got a 2008 2t lx50 s and have just derestricted the exhaust and need to change the mainjet to a few sizes bigger. I cant seem to find any info as to exactly what main jet my bike has other than it is a dellorto. I need size 60 apparently but is that a 5mm, 6mm or 7mm thread? also whats the best place to order them online? any help would be appreciated
Ask in the sponsors forum, I'd be surprised if they didn't have the answer. Motorsport scooters come to mind; click on their banner. I got my jet from them for my s150
They are just numbers.. not sure if it's a universal system but it seems so.
I dropped the line "4.4mm jet" to a mechanic who's a real know all and he corrected me telling me that same thing i wrote above, but in a more rude fashion.
There's probably a logic to it since mine might be 44mm long but how wide is it? I have no idea.. If you look at it there's supposed to be a number stamped to it.
They come cheap and i would guess you have a dellorto carb so that's like buying lightbulbs and they about the same price as a 6 pack of lightbulbs.
If you've recieved a better explanation please quote it and enlighten me cause i've been asking the same question just for knowing how they come up with the numbers.
Is there anymore info on this? My vespa is derestricted and I need to up the size of my main jet. I know it was a long time ago, but do you remember where you ordered yours?
