This was my first group ride with the Wild Hogs Scooter Club, www.wildhogssc.com. The ride was to Hawk Mountain (www.hawkmountain.org) and the Hamburg, PA Cabela's (www.cabelas.com).

The ride started for most of the group in Philly, then a stop in Pennsburg to pick up more riders and then a stop in Fleetwood to pick up me and an unexpected riding pair. Unfortunately, one of the Philly riders had mechanical trouble with his scooter but the other riders were able to get his scooter operational (but loud) due to a hole in his exhaust...

The entire ride was behind schedule -- basically we learned that we planned more than we could actually accomplish since the Philly riders really wanted to head back on the early side so their entire ride wouldn't be in the dark. We'll have to plan less strenuous rides in the future. I know I personally put 47 miles on my scooter -- I'm sure it was 250+ miles for some of the Philly riders.

As it turned out, we only went through the visitors center at Hawk Mountain and blurred through Cabela's before hitting the road for home.

Still it was the most riding I've done in one day (to date), my first group ride, and the first time I've hit 65 mph indicated.
