This poll is to give an instant graphic representation to complement dead money's thread.

Interestingly, this question has been running in my head after finding myself giving the same bunch of reasons when asked why i chose the MP3.
the answers are usually it's safe, it's stable, it's got good storage space, it's comfortable. now i know why. I'm pushing 40...

Looks like 40 on up is the majority so far. I guess because they are at a point in their lives when they are more financially stable, have aching backs from all the hard work they did to become financially stable, couldn't care less about what people thought of their ride and are now in the midst of a mid-life crisis. Lol!

I know all this because I fall in that bracket!

i'm soon to be 38 but i don't feel old and i still care about what people think of my ride. but i chose the MP3 not worrying about what others may say because to me an MP3 is to the scooter world what a Tyrell P34 was to the Formula 1 world.

Umm ... is it just me, or does anyone else read something into that resultant shape of the age distribution, when thinking about the average MP3 riders' body shape? Not casting any aspersions here. The fruit I most resemble when naked has a partidge in its tree for Christmas.

Quite an interesting "spread" of ages.

I am surprised at how the MP3 attracts us older guys (and girls although I use guys as a generic rather than folks or people or some such.) Interesting demographic.

Well.....Let's see. I was 60 on July 3rd of this year, but I don't feel it, most say I don't look it, and I sure as hell don't act it. For confirmation of the latter, see the thread regarding running the MP3 on No Problem Raceway. Health is excellent, working 40+ hours per week, volunteering at the local computer club and the Motorcycle Awareness Campaign and serving on the Louisiana Motorcyclists Safety and Awareness Council. Having the time of my life!

I can vouch for Ed in the respect that he doesn't look 60... I sincerely had you pegged about 15 or 20 years younger than that!

I'm still waiting for some personal stuff to get taken care of before I purchase my 500, but I'm 33 for what it's worth.

Since this thread is 3 years old i am betting you already voted at some time in the past. Only allows one vote.

It's closed is my guess.. anyway I am 3 years older now than I was when it was done.. so now am over 60....

If it's not working for you, you already voted. I just voted, now it just shows the age range with percentages.

I'm 78. I've been scooting for about 5 years. I started out with a Korean "plastic fantastic" but quickly upgraded to a Piagio Fly 150, then a BV 250 and finally the MP3 250.

Better to wear out than to rust out.

71 this Wednesday and still on my MP3 500 and loving every minute of it.

69 0n the 29th of Nov, I bought a 500 because it it is a magnificent beast of a bike!!!

There should be a 60 to 70 years category too. Some of us are long in tooth(actually nose hair) but still riding. There are some 70+ riders here too. 8)

I don't care what someone claims, dirt is older than ANY of us.

I am still in the highest percentage group but barely. Anyone know what Wizerd is up to these days? He was pretty active here for awhile then poof he was gone.

2010-02-05: 2011-07-31: So what is it really? The oldest scooter rider we know of in PH/WC is Sam, aged 85, on a GTS250. As we're also in Pleasant Hill, why don't we meet for a coffee?

30 here. As I suspected, I'm pretty far down on the bottom end of the age curve here, haha.
