I just bought an LVX. the dealer did not fill out the warranty papers in the book. We returned and asked him to stamp and sign the book so we could get the warranty sticker. He said the warranty was registered "Online" and that we no longer needed to send in the paperwork from the warranty book and that we would not get a "warranty sticker" as it was readily avaiilable online. Is this everyone else's experience or is he wrong?

The dealer is right. The warranty booklets are horribly outdated. They won't fill out the little carbon slips when you have it serviced either, unless you are very particular about record keeping and want them to do it for your own sake. You will receive a sticker from Piaggio in the mail 4 to 6 months after the date of purchase, but it is in no way necessary for proof of warranty.

I brought my Vespa into the dealer for a warranty issue but forgot my book and he said it's all in the computer and I don't need it. The dealer said all the maintenance services are tracked by the computer too.

When I had my first service I had the dealer fill in my book. I then asked him to mail it in as it states in the book. He said they don't mail it in but I could if I wanted to. So I mailed it in and it was retunred to me with a "No such address" stamp..what the heck... I'm hoping the address in the book is just really old and outdated?????
