Well... I have been sorta thinking about selling my 2008 Midnight Blue GTS, it has the tall windscreen, floor matt, top case, chain lock, and cover. She only has 250 miles on her... What is a fair price to ask?

I have come to the conclusion, I am more of a convertible type of guy...

I will be posting it here as soon as I can take some pics... it's a beautiful machine but I simply don't have the time for it...

Bob, I would suspect that you're coming into a "slow period" for scooter sales in your neck of the woods. In light of that and the price that it took to move a couple of other GTS' with low miles (not as low as yours) that I have seen in the last couple of months, I would think that you're going to have to get down to the mid five's to move her. Good luck with the sale of your scoot.

Would I be better off waiting to Spring then?

I'd have to agree with Paul. I bought my used GTS with 700 miles on it for $4,000 - yes, that was a steal but I don't think $4,500 - $5,500 is out of line. Keep a few things in mind:

1) a new GTS is about $6,100 - yes, out the door is a bit more with prep etc. but that is the cost of buying new - and some dealers will forego that $$ to make a deal
2) the 300 is coming out. That may make the 250 a bit less desirable - not much but a bit.
3) Personally, if you really want to sell it, I'd list it for $5,500 and see what kind of bites you get.

I'm in the market for one for my father (in the south so too far from you) and it seems that the people who have sold their GTS recently sold for between $4,500 and $5,000.

Good Luck - sorry you are selling.

Bob, it appears that unless you're in Southern Florida or California, you're going to take a beating. Here's a member who is selling is GTS with only 56 miles and he's asking $5800.
https://modernvespa.com/forum/topic36273
He may or may not get that price. Another member had his red, GTS listed here for over a month. He kept lowering the price until it was down to $5k before it sold. There's also another low mileage 06, GTS for sale right now on this forum with an asking price of $5k.

My two cents (which cost you nothing) is to ask $5700-$5800 right now and take any reasonable offer. I believe if you wait until Spring, you may get a couple of hundred dollars less.
Good luck!

In the mid-atlantics, $7000 would be more than the deal you could get from a dealer (so outfitted) on a new scooter with warranty etc. The purchaser may very likey have to pay tax (in addition) on that price when they register it.
Perhaps Yardsale's response was ment to be a joke?

No joke
He should learn on a smaller cc scooter like the ET4
and after while when he feel's at ease he could ride
the GTS, Gasoline will not be this cheap for long, the
GTS250ie gets me 70 mpg, the 300 a little less and
the MP3 500 even less mpg, and for what?
