This weekend I will be replacing the coil and condenser on my 68 Sprint. I was wondering if anyone had the exact location of the condenser itself? Do I need to get to the stator plate for this?

Also, if anyone had any good advice on installation would be great too.

Thanks!

The exact location? It's under the flywheel, bolted to the stator plate.

Pull your fly - you've likely got a self extracting flywheel, and you'll be looking right at it.

There you go : all done for you with pictures...

Thanks again Eric. Would I really need a flywheel holding tool?

This is the condenser I had ordered, is this correct?:

And on the stator plate, which one is the condenser?

I jam the handle of a decent sized screwdriver in between one of the fins on the flywheel and either the kickstart lever or the gearbox, depending on which direction i'm going on. ( well, i dont now because i have the right tool, but i used to )

The condensor looks like a small battery - maybe half the length of a AA battery and 50% wider. It's looking right at you on that picture.
