Puting nut on tap inside the tank
Do I need to glue the nut in place in side the tank?
Then bend the vent tube were I can turn the tap
360 to tighten it up

You really need the crowfoot wrench to put it on tight.

Or make one by heating up the correct size ( 22mm? ) spanner with a torch, bending it to the proper angle, and then using that.

Any other method won't really work.

My method is usually to hold the nut in place with the wrench, and rotate teh bottom of the tap with my hand or possibly a vice-grip (carefully!)

after a while, the nut catches and just screws on by itself, and you don't need the wrench at all.

I am a dumb A - -! I did leave the washer off - I thought I cross treaded it, as it would not tighten up. So I made it past Fuel Tap 101.
