I used uship.com with good results from FL to CA. You can do searches of completed shipments with similar mileage to get an idea on price. Just make sure you read the reviews and check licensing/insurance to get a good carrier. There is also a good section on tips for shipping motorcycles/scooters.
I also used UShip, from Virginia to California, in February/March.
Unfortunately the guy I used - who I would highly recommend - is currently on hiatus and not taking on any jobs or I would give you a pointer to him.

If you are shipping it as part of a move, then ask your moving company, if you are using one. We have shipped our scoots as part of numerous moves, including the move here from the US, and were always satisfied with the cost and results.
I used Forward Air from Philly to California this summer, it was $750.
I am using Amtrak's "Auto Train" from Washington DC to Orlando for Bike Week, $360 total round trip for me and the scooter. Auto Train leaves DC at 4PM, gets into Orlando next day at 9AM, no stops.
