Modern Vespa

While I have to say that Entourage is shit IMO...I do dig Adrian Grenier....but Jeremy Hairplugs Pivens expiration date is long past due...cocky prick....(He was good in Smokin Aces playing himself though...I used to dig that guy before the attitude surfaced).


We can definitely agree on the Office , 30 Rock, always loved Tina Feys sense of humour & was quite pleased when that show started doing so well.......

And Skins is a fucking awesome show...I am glued to the set when that is on....Dont think any American show compares to that...









I always wanted to watch Dexter...but just missed the boat on it...Heard it was really good.

Oh I only watch it for Prue and Trude.

This is sort of a Kath & Kim tradition. In the original series, the actress playing the daughter was a year older than the one who played the mother.

Piven is pretty much just like his character in the douchebag department. I honestly can't stand the guy and think this is the only kind of character that works for him.

I didn't see all of season 1 of Skins, just the last 5 or so. It hooked me immediately. It's not a show they could do in the US at all (and I'm grateful for that), but at the same time is everything the new 90210 should be but isn't.

Not my take on the show.

Kath and Kym, to me, is more about a supposed Working Class culture. It takes the piss out of Australians and Australianisms, including "Stirne" more than being a parody of the bogan/redneck/dero culture.

I think Sylvania Waters did more to parody the bogan/redneck/dero culture, and it was not a parody.

There was another show that, IMHO, was more the parody - just cannot remember its name.

Regardless, at least we, as Australians, CAN take the piss out of ourselves, both the best and worst aspects of our culture - see Kingswood Country!.
