As you guys may know, I just got a 2005 Kymco Bet & Win 250 which I am doing in a themed scoot: https://modernvespa.com/forum/topic36038. Although I'm not a huge gambler, it's fun...

I've applied for a personalized tag, but the Pennsylvania just sent my application back to me since my first three choices were taken. Some states have an online search engine that will tell you if your choice is available, but Pennsylvania isn't that advanced, apparently...

According to Pennsylvania regulations:
Personalized motorcycle plates can contain up to FIVE characters or numbers in combination. Only ONE hyphen or space is permitted, not both -- this does not count towards the five character overall limit. No other special characters are permitted.

You are allowed three choices per application. Apparently, "LUCKY", "VEGAS" and "777" are already taken.

Well, Marcster, don't know if you are still looking for possible personalized plates but I have to chime in on this weighty subject...

Since you are riding a Kymco Bet & Win - an outrageously cool AND cool-looking scooter - and yours in particular looks wild with those playing card/applique/stickers on it!....

Then I suggest you pick a plate which commemorates the risky but exciting spirit and essence of gambling...

What do most of us think about when we gamble? Either cards...or odds....or flashing lights and slot machines....

OR......

ROLLING THE DICE!

So my suggestion is simply the word -

D I C E

Because on a Scooter you're ROLLING all the time - so you get the double-entendre-double-meaning as well.

I'd have to guess that DICE is taken if my other six choices were taken too.

Having paid $.84 (2 mailings = 2 stamps) and waited a few weeks each time while the DMV looks up my choices, I think I might just call them and see if someone can look them up over the phone.

That way I can at least know my choice is available before sending the check in once more.

Ummm... this thread is nearly 10 months old, I think he already got his personalized plate by now. Although, knowing the PA DMV, that may not be a foregone conclusion...

Although I have no complaints about the speed of the PA DMV, I eventually gave up after 3 sets of my "top 3 choices" were already taken. Some states have an online system where you can check if a personalized tag is already registered. PA does not, though I learned a few months ago that you can just call and someone will go through the database over the phone for you, in "real time".

However, I am no longer searching for a personalized tag for the Kymco. As luck would have it, this past Saturday, I traded it in at a motorcycle dealer on a 2000 Yamaha Diversion (same as the Seca II).

for the STR8, i am sorry but the gay remarks are from people to stupid to figure out the plate.....good one though
