you're probably just a LITTLE out of alignment with the batwing versus the gear it's in.
It's kinda hard to explain... but you've got this little ratcheting batwing looking thing that kinda holds you in gear. It does this with a little barrel shaped roller that's spring loaded to fall into one of the notches.
Even neutral has a notch, but it's smaller than the proper GEAR notches.
Anyways, if you set your cables such that your cruciform is squarely in the middle of gears, but your batwing doesn't have the little barely resting squarely in the notch, you end up with that kind of situation. I'd say undo your gear selector cables and try again. ( i have to do this when i set them fresh, sometimes )
It's that, or on the offchance that you had the cases opened and flipped one of your gears the wrong way when you put them back on the rear axle, but i doubt that's the case.
