Riding to work this morning at 3:30AM I felt winter approaching, There was a bit of frost, some thin fog, and a decided chill in the air. I ride alongside the mighty Fraser River for several miles and it gets very chilly next to the water.
Well encapsulated in my thermal undies, with a rain proof jacket on top of my normal riding jacket, and the heated gloves on max.....yes I will need the rain pants as well tomorrow.......I can hear the Ontarian's muttering now, "Wimp" yeah I know, well at 62 one can get away with a little whine every now and then
The summer has been great though, many thousands of kilometers on my old bike and mama's enjoying riding her MP3 as well......I still need to install and wire her heated gloves as she's an early starter too.

Have a wonderful fall riding season all and stay safe ! .........

Dave - it was like summer this past weekend out here in southern Ontario! Still, it is bound to cool off - soon!

We now have 4 inches of snow on the ground here in Anchorage. I'm afraid that my scooter days are over until April and I will have to vicariously enjoy my scooter by reading this forum.

It's a balmy 86 here but we are in the throws of battening down the hatches for a probable hurricane (Omar) which is expected to hit Tortola sometime tomorrow afternoon/night.

I just wheeled Vesputin into my living room and we will board up the house first thing in the morning. Shoot. I hate hurricanes! I hope power is restored quickly after the darned thing passes. There's nothing worse than no power for days on end which means no lights and no water. We all use cisterns here and need our pumps to work in order to get water. Sigh.

Ain't mother nature grand! Crying or Very sad emoticon
