If you have the MP3 400 pdf manual with you, it says to use a minimum octane of 95 on page 28.
on page 80/81, it says 95 RON, which i was told in another thread equals around 91 octane.
so should we fill up with 95 octane or 95 RON?

In the states we use R+M/2. 95 RON = 91 R+M/2
Both are ways to measure octane; but what you need is 91.

If the lowest you have is 91 you most likely have RON, if that is the case you want the 95.

North America is about the only place they use R+M/2.

So your octane rating is most probably RON anyway.

to add to this discussion......i just picked up a LX 'S' 50 - 2 stroke. the dealer said to use normal unleaded which is 91 octane. the manuel is saying 95 octane - what would you suggest??
