I'm pretty sure it's been posted before....but I cant find it. My left front signal indicator on mp3 500 came off during transport across US. I've been trying (along with a friend) to figure out how to get it to stay on but to no avail. Doesn't look as though any parts are broken.

Any ideas how I might get it to snap back on?

its easy
1 remove lens with the 1 screw
2 there is a small u-shaped clip on this insidefinish pulling it out if not already
3 push the signal housing back in and then you should see the groove that the clip goes in to hold the assy.

alls else look at the other side after you take the screw out to see how it should look

Just as an FYI - I actually managed to yank the molded nut out of the plastic the last time. There was no cure but to take it all out, trim the plastic away and glue the stem back in. That said it worked like a champ.

While backing mine out of a garage on Thursday....broke the right front turn signal cleanly off. I took it apart and hooked the wires back on, but couldn't get it back on the bike right. A quick search here and I found the procedure on this post.
Thanks gang! Nice to be a part of this little family.

Jon, just as a reminder to others ... if one boils the black stem in water, it will become just pliable enough for a very few minutes that one can wiggle and pop the bolt back into position. See...

Turn signal on the 500 is fragile

I have knocked the right front turn signal off (well.. someone else did) it was
a piece of cake to unscrew the cover and reinstall that clip. Unfortunately,
the left front one seems to be broken off from the metal hex nut that attaches
the stalk to the frame of the bike. I can't even seem to find where to order a
replacement stock one.

Any suggestions on where to find a replacement?
Most of the after-market lights I have seen have
the connector on the far end of the wire rather than
at the bulb end. I would rather not have to take the
whole front end apart trying to replace it.

Thanks again,
Brett

Try this:

http://www.athensscooterco.com/eshopprod_cat_4797-48548-48426_product_603079.602_LEFT_HEADLAMP.htm

A note of caution ... I ordered a spare left and right for my MP3 500 but the replacements are slightly different ... Can't swap lenses.

It happened later in the evening last night.
I searched ScooterWest and did not find the lights.
I googled the turn signals, and ScooterWest came up...
For some reason I couldn't find them directly on the page.
Parts ordered and problem solved. Though I think they are
still a poor design, at least I have replacements on the way.

If the whole rubber assembly has come away from the hex bolt and retaining nut, it's easy enough to fix them back together - had to do that a couple of times. It's designed to give way rather than break into bits - and I think that's a GOOD design.

For about $17 (shipping included) I just picked up new lights at the Superstore. It took about 30 minutes max to remove and replace.
