Modern Vespa

OMG! This past Monday I drove into Lakeland FL (in my Ridgeline, not MP3) and spoke to Clay Ridley himself and his son for 2 hours (no interuptions). Both were at Charlie Dyches Power Sports shop with their huge black Ridley rig loaded up with 2009 fully automatic 2 wheel motorcycles, choppers, trikes and their brand new creation.....a 49cc and 70cc (2 stoke engines) "bicycles" capable of 24 mph and 33 mph top speeds. The bicycles come in four designs: The 1903, The MP, The Twin and The Chief.
I sat on All of them and test drove The MP 49cc bicycle 120mpg and,................ OMG..............BE STILL MY HEART ......their pearl white TRIKE !!!YIKES! 8) I'm still on a high...amazing machine...so easy to ride....so beautiful....I want it, and I want it now ( .....must keep it down). I am on Ridley's email list and Clay's daughter, Valerie told me about their stops before going to Biketoberfest in Daytona. So, I caught the Ridley's before the big day and had them (and their cycles) all to myself. I'm tellin' ya....I felt sooo honored...still do. Can't believe I drove their trike and then Clay took me into his rig to see and hear the best of his best. All these bikes will be sold first come first serve in Daytona Oct. 16-18th. sushiman....BooHoo....you're sooo right! I had my camera and cell phone in my truck and didn't take any pictures! I was sooo swept away with meeting them & the whole event I forgot all about it! I'm sooo at myself. A once in a life time occurrence and I blew it! Not even an autograph (Clay did give me his business card though and told me to email him anytime). I blew it I really blew it. damn

By the way ladies and gents, the seat height on the cycles and trikes are 24-25"....I more than flat-footed it and it had floorboards/footboards, very nice indeed

Oh, and I forgot to mention, that the 2009 Trike now has a REVERSE GEAR...that's right, reverse no more footin' it back. And they took the speedometer off the bars and put it on the gas tank (a much nicer look...bik-e-er!) I love toys.....and MySkyMiZeR is one of em !!

Cheers, MySkyMizer! I sometimes wish that MP3's have a reverse; but since it also leans, which could spell trouble if the ground is not smooth and even. I did Jacq, so look more carefully at the post. Be nice, you will go a long way. I Goog-o-lot, OK?!
