This is a great idea and thanks to Jess for creating this forum. Having to weed through a lot of the "I'm gay because I ride a scooter" B.S. was just getting a bit old.

On a side note, I do think this should just be called the "ask Rover Eric to help save your ass" forum. I'm sure there are a lot of us thats recieved good help from different people on here, but he seems to be all over it everytime. So thanks Eric for helping newbie saps like me any whoever else on here help fix their scoots! Clap emoticon

HAHAHA....

glad i could help, guys.

Make no mistake - this side of the forum was Jess's + the existing moderator's idea. I think there were as many people on the auto side of the forum getting tired of hearing about clutch problems and broken cables as there were folks like us getting tired of hearing about stickers and topboxes. ( and i'm not saying that to make one sound more or less legitimate than the other )

I for one will complain - but just because it could mean fewer spirit lifting comments by Eric (and others) in those lovely threads dealing with cute cats 'n such... Razz emoticon

...Actually I think it can be a good thing for many, and if it it hasn't been said elsewhere - congrats to the 'promotion' of Eric to Moderator status!

What makes you think you're not gay just because you're on a vintage scooter?

True, Eric is tremendously helpful, and that's part of the reason we chose him for this task. It is my hope, of course, that the community will develop to the point where you all are helping each other, so that Eric can get some sleep now and again.

hahah..hey I'm not knocking on people for being gay or people questioning their manhood...I just don't need to read about it all the time.

As for Eric...I was just wondering what you do for a living and how the hell do you find time for this stuff??

I do network security - so i'm in front of a computer screen all day long.

Until i get home, and then it's typically out to the garage for wrenching on a scoot.

Shut the F up. My head is as hairy as a greek man's back! Despite my dad having some serious comb-over action, i dodged the baldness bullet.

Damnit. Everyone talking about this mag thing and it not being in my mailbox is getting me peeved. And after i just wrote out the Amerivespa '08 rally review for it.

Where's the love? There's no love.

It happens to be a pretty bad angle, is all. You're bent over the lammy, and the flash I guess produced a nice shiny spot

*giggle*

It's ok, I'm a little thinner up top than I'd want to be...

I dont buy Scoot anymore unless it is something special like Skatelabs Rally spread or Nyles Hot Wheel bike spreads......so I am guessing....
That spot would be called a "Bologna Patch"

And what the fuck are YOU doing with a bald spot?????

I am twice your age & still have a full head of hair.

Did they do a feature on your Lammy?...

Isnt baldness a recesive gene and is carried on your mothers side... so there's no point looking at your fathers side of things.

so you can never be certain, you may still sucumb to the folocal drop, better keep an eye on the plug hole after showering eric....

i highly doubt it. I just sent them a handful of before after pics, and no real description.

That said, the bike has won 4 trophies this year - best lambretta @ every rally we've taken it to. Granted, there's usually only a handful of lammies at the rallies we go to, so it's no huge challenge

You're welcome, Linda.

Look at it this way, though: it was all the same content that was being posted in General Discussion anyway. Now I've put it off in its own section where you don't have to be exposed to it if you don't open that section. In reality, I was shielding you from this unwanted experience.
