I bought a replacement headlight fairing for my ET4 off eBay, but it has got some sort of writing on it (probably a dealer part reference number) right across the top above the headlight chrome. Looks like paint, or Tipp Ex, or similar. Hot water and soap won't shift it, and gently scraping with a blunt knife damages the plastic surface.

Any ideas how I'd get this off without damaging the original finish, T-Cut or similar?? Argh!!

Meguiars Quick Clay. Halfords. Magic eraser. Or t cut, as you suggested. The first two are abrasive but more gentle.

maybe try some spray silicon. It works wonders.
