I am trying to find out if there is a Piaggio top case for the MP3 500. Is it the same one that is used on the 400? Most of the discussions I have found center on the Givi cases. Anyone have a Piaggio top case? Know where I can buy one?

Givi vs. Piaggio? another manufacturer?

Thoughts and suggestions welcome!

I just bought a Coocase topcase. Very nice quality and you get a liner, brake lights, etc... for about the same price as a GIVI. It can be made to fit on the GIVI adapter with some drilling. I doubt anyone has put one on a MP3 yet but I could be wrong.

I'd recommend the Coocase too. I just received mine from Twisted Throttle but haven't installed it as I received mine without keys..so they're working that issue out.

Price wise you'll get better features for less money going with the Coocase vs Givi. They also now sell adapter kits to go between Givi racks and Coocase cases so no makeshift jimmy-rigging needed.

The only mild downfall of the Coocase vs Givi is the largest Coocae is 48 liters while the largest Givi is 52 liters. But you'll save about a hundred dollars on comparables features going with the Coocase.

I got my Givi 52L from scooter trap and it is awesome. You can get break lights in it as well, and if you want it they even have a rack to go on top of the top case. You can fit 2 full face helmets in it.
