I often hold my own when coming up against other scooters at the traffic lights and taking off,,,even GT's Laughing emoticon Leave em trailing at times..Today I was riding from Holborn through blackfriars, elephant n castle through Kennington and on to Clapham common and the whole journey I was trying to keep up with a bloke on a Honda ps125..I couldnt keep up, he just kept pulling away from me We were leaving all the other scoots behind, a mix of vespa's and all sorts..eventually i caught up and had to ask,,what scoot he was riding its quite nippy

We MVers have to make sure nothing of this sort happens again.

That scoot definitely has the lighter weight advantage. Maybe we'll need to rejet your scoot first. Comrade, it is not so much whether you want to go faster, but now it is that you need to go faster. We can't have random 'blokes' disparaging our lxs.

Or you could get a GT engine and shoehorn it into your LX. I mean, really, the Honda has a liquid cooled, 4 valve engine. Not exactly a fair fight against a 2V air cooled engine.

Yeh I plan to get the GTS super eventually,,,,just havin fun on LX for now and gaining experiance for the big boy Laughing emoticon

It's the ones on the Gilera Runners, riding all Jack-the-lad, that you want to stay ahead of. You know you've ruined their day when you've trounced them on a Vespa.

I don't know what Honda you are referring to, but I can say that my '84 Honda Aero 125 2-stroker is as quick or quicker than my GTS 250 to about 40-45 mph.
