I was thinking about some for my scoot, something like the stuff that used to be offered from pimpmyscoota...which seems to be no more. (The web address just links to the dudes blog.)

Anyone have any recommendations for places to score graphics? I am thinking more contemporary design...not so much the mod targets or Italian flags. My google search did yield a huge amount of tribal flame stuff that seems to be geared to the sportbike crowd.

But you know, us scooterists just HAVE to be different! So, I would like to find some funky graphics that you dont see every day...maybe I need to design some myself? Thoughts?

Whether you want:
a) pin stripes
b) racing stripes
c) zebra stripes
d) something else entirely

Just let me know. Once I get the website up and running I'll be a sponsor here at MV and start running some banner ads. Until then, just send me a PM. "

Let's see your stickers

Why don't you pm him and tell us what you find. The skull on the front of his scoot is vinyl, I think. My personal favourite.

cheers

You don't have to go too far afield for this kind of stuff. Your local sign shop can cut custom graphics in vehicle vinyl. The hard part is deciding what design you want.

Yeah I've heard good things about Scootgraphics, they're just up the road from me, but I've never used them myself. I ride a black 07 Gts 250, stock with flyscreen and Cuppini rear crash bars (which have rusted up after 12 months of English weather ).

No graphics on my scoot despite me working at a firm with a vinyl plotter. I'm sat about 2 metres from all the kit right now.

This is what I have on my front fender.
I put it on for extra reflectivity.
I'm not sure if I like the look of a large sticker but, I think the frog is cool.
It is a peace frog or you can think of it as a "2-wheels" frog.

I want a vinyl graphic (side view) done of the "Silver Surfer" (the Marvel Comics character) in a crouched position. I think he is cool and would look great on both side cowlings of my silver LX125. I also want "Vesputin" to be done in reflective silver type for the back of the top case.

If anyone knows where I can get this done, I would greatly appreciate a link or a phone number or e:mail address!

I was at Michaels Arts & crafts the other day and picked up some vinyl graphics they had on sale for 40% off. These were all single color vinyl kits but they had a cool selection of skulls, lightning bolts, palm trees, ipods, musical notes, vinyl records, dinosaurs, etc... The graphics are designed to go on the wall but its just vinyl, so whatever. The graphics were from a company called hipinahurry and the sale was till the 25th of this month.

Theres a new company doing something similar to pimpmyscoota but for cars, they have some really cool artists who have submitted art for vinyl graphic kits. While these are designed for cars, all the pieces have measurements and could surely be used to dress up your scooter, too: http://www.infectious.com/

These guys started out just doing wall graphics, which I own a couple and are of excellent quality. They have some awesome designs, and started doing a few vinyls for cars. There aren't very many designs, but a few are kinda cool.

Thanks for the replies all! I do like the idea of designing my own graphics, since I do have a wee bit of art background. I suppose I need to find a shop here in Seattle doing automotive vinyl and hit them up. Would anyone know what I could expect to pay for that type of thing?

Orbit: thanks for the infectious link! I really dig the stuff on that site--they have Coop art! If I dont design my own they seem to be a great place to check out.

I've got a vinyl cutter and can cut you out some one color vinyl decals much cheaper than what you would pay at one of those sticker shops. I just would need the art to be in vecter format (or a .gif or .tif contrasted to 2 colors).

PM me for mor details.

My cutter is 24" wide...so I can make them pretty damn big!
