In the last (yeah I know, recent) "How old are you?" poll,
the 40-somethings seemed to be missing

See the orange line:


What I'm wondering:
With the current economic hard times, are they back?...
Or has the missing group become even larger?

Maybe that age group is the most resistant to polls.

Maybe it's just that all us 30-39's have collectively decided to have our mid-life crisis early

Being that i'm about to turn 31, ( on halloween for those of you who were waiting for an excuse to send me presents ) i really am not comfortable being grouped in with the demographic including those oldsters about to turn 40.

Can we split up the 30's into the "Still cool and relevant" and "had kids and too tired to care anymore" demographics?

I have had a birthday since the last time so am in a new demographic now and just had to vote again.

Dude haven't you heard, fifty is the new 30.

When I did the first poll in whatever year it was - '05? - I was in the 30-39 bracket. Now I'm in the 40-49 bracket.

So that's the smell! I'm 35. Will be 36 in January. I still think of myself as being young, but apparently my body has other ideas.

I think what this current poll shows is more of the 30-39 have stepped up to the 40's level only in kaiku's poll has the 40's changed and then only 5%. The biggest mover is the 30's they have fallen off 10% in the current poll. God help me I'm a geek

But I'm bored and in poll withdrawal
and would get seriously roasted if I tried this on the International BBS

I don't know why it pleases me so much to see the number of people over 70 who are still riding, but it does, ... greatly. Maybe it eliminate concerns about not having scooter riding contemporaries when I get there.

I guess i'd rather have oldsters on scooters than in big cars. They'll undoubtedly kill nobody but themselves should they drift off at the wheel or something and veer into traffic.

43 of your Earth years, 44 in February and fairly happy with it all.
What's kept me youthful looking is not getting married,not having kids and spending all of my money. Living well within my means and not borrowing too much when I have to. Oh yeah and having a dog.
