Sick and tired of polls? Lets start another one.

Polling encourages groupthink - pretty soon everyone will be wearing the same jacket, brand cupholder, and worry about which color/accessory others think they should buy.

I'm starting this hoping that the feature is eventually eliminated.

I don't think polls are evil, per se, but I do think they are grossly over-used. Simply posing a question and getting real answers is almost always more enlightening than just tabulating a set of numbers from fixed and unyielding options.

48,000,011 votes that Polls are Evil! Wow is Diebold supplying some of the underlying technology for this feature? Is the site taking a big hit from someone's voting bot?

Very good. I'm just indifferent to polls. If the subject is interesting enough, I participate. If not, I ignore them. I know this is just me and it has nothing to do with the polls, but I'm getting kinda bored with them. IMHO, too many and I'm just not sure if anything is gained other than creating good? conversation. I'm not knocking polls, I just get bored really fast and need a new high. This is just me...and it's always about me!
